Around 1345h we had yet another brownout here. It was only for a few seconds but enough again to mess with my computer systems and my washing machine. Well, there actually were a few dark clouds in the sky and some distant grumbling, so I probably shouldn't wonder too much about it...

[UPDATE]: Another one occurred around 1520h...

If you are new to my blog and wonder why I post about every brown- and blackout I notice - that is because I live in Finland, which supposedly is one of the technologically most advanced countries in the world and still I have seen better grid quality in some third-world countries. In addition to this, our local electricity company, Valkeakosken Energia, has roughly doubled not only the electricity prices since 2008, but also the transport prices. Those transport prices is what a customer always have to pay per kWh, even if they buy their electricity from another company and that is supposed to be for operating and maintaining the grid. So - what do they do with the money? It doesn't seem like they invest it into the grid...
